Old Homestead

Deep purple or magenta large full flouncy blooms, fragrant and blooms once during the season.  Hybrid China found in CA.  Growth habit 6'x3'. Zones 6b and warmer.  As reported on HMF, "Alice Flores: Rose Sleuths. Joyce Demits and Virginia Hopper.
....As the sisters continued to study, they imported roses from Europe and grew them alongside their mysteries, comparing them and making guesses at identifications. Phillip Robinson helped them identify many of the older Hybrid teas, but the origins of many of their finds, such as "Old Homestead" remained a mystery."
